Assistance, joining, club, sharing, connect, association, friendship, cooperation. These are all terms referring to partnerships. Partnerships come in all shapes and sizes.
Health and Human Services (HHS) recognizes more than 900 Champions of Coverage nationwide. These organizations and businesses have volunteered to help Americans without affordable insurance learn more and get coverage through the Health Marketplace. Those organizations might be health care providers, business leaders, faith leaders, community groups, advocates, and local elected officials and can all help spread the word and encourage their neighbors to get enrolled.
In all states there are people trained to help you understand your health coverage options. Using the Find Local help tool, you can find information about assisters like navigators.
As Navigators, our object is to increase awareness about Affordable Care Act including requirements for individuals and small businesses. Improve understanding about health coverage options available and where consumers can go for help. Encourage consumers to take action to enroll in health coverage for themselves or their employees.
We work with statewide organizations, volunteer groups, small community groups and many more. This is a team effort and we encourage you to take action. You know your community and we know the marketplace. There are many ways to do this. Together we can get you up to speed on what you and your client’s, patients and family need to know. Once you know the basics, talk to your family and friends. If you know someone who has a question you can’t answer, don’t be afraid to ask us! There are many brochures, posters or fact sheets to give out. You can host educational or enrollment events for staff, the public, and targeted client population.
Our help is free of charge. Call us at 877-313-7215 or explore our website to find the navigators in your area.
